Porcelain Pottery Ice Cream Bowl with Green Dragonflies & Ferns
They're back and sold individually. I made these for the bowl-o-rama back in January and this is a berry season reprise. Perfect for ice cream and berries in the afternoon, or oatmeal and blueberries in the morning. Looks great with the berry bowl of the same pattern (see the Pottery for Use in the Home Collection).
I made this out of a white porcelain clay body. I threw it on the potter's wheel, trimmed the bottom with a foot ring so the bottom is glazed as well. The dragonfly decoration is a transfer technique which is a silkscreen technique. The patterns are sealed permanently into the clay by the glazing process. A clear glaze is over the entire piece. Please appreciate the slight variations and imperfections that are the signs of hand made pottery. These bowls are approximately 2" tall x 5" wide, they are hand made so no two bowls are identical. Signed "Sullivan" on the bottom. Dishwasher safe, no oven.
