Porcelain Oversize Jar with Black Poppies Transfer
This is a large statement piece with a stunning glaze melt. Made of porcelain clay. I threw this piece in three sections then joined them when they were still wet to get the large scale. The small lid fits snugly in the flanged neck, although it doesn't look like it's missing should you wish to use it as a vase as well. Decorated with black poppies transfer motif, the clear glaze gives a depth to the surface. The metallic rim and foot make this a signature piece, and one that I am not sure I will be doing for much longer due to technical difficulties. Signed, "Sullivan, Canada" on the foot rim. 10.5" Diameter 19" Tall. Very Heavy.
