Porcelain Urn with Green Koi and Waves Transfer
This is a classic urn shape. Made of porcelain clay. I threw this piece in three sections then joined them when they were still wet. The small lid fits snugly in the flanged neck ready to be sealed. Decorated with olive green koi jumping from asian style waves as a transfer motif, covered in a clear glaze. The metallic rim and foot make this a signature piece. I have enjoyed making this design with the waves and koi. Unfortunately I am out of the waves and am unsure as to their continued accessiblity.
