Porcelain Pottery Oversized Vase with Rococo NEW
I made this out of a porcelain clay body. I threw it on the potter's wheel in 2 pieces and joined them at leather hard, trimmed the bottom with a foot ring so the bottom is glazed as well. The exterior decoration is a transfer technique which is a silkscreening technique of an arabesque harkening to the rococo period in Italy. The patterns are sealed permanently into the clay by the glazing process. A clear glaze is over the entire piece.
Please appreciate the slight variations and imperfections that are the signs of hand made pottery. This pot is approximately 11" tall x 7" wide(exterior bottom measurement). Signed "Sullivan, Canada" on the bottom.
